2007 NCRAL Convention

Sharing Astronomy on the Northern Plains

AmericInn Lodge and Convention Center

May 18-19

Join us in Moorhead, MN and Fargo, ND during spring on the Northern Plains for the 2007 NCRAL Convention.

The convention kicks off during a reception at the Fargo Air Museum Friday evening. From there, we will adjourn to the Minnesota State University Moorhead Regional Science Center's Buffalo River Site, 14 miles east of the F-M area. Enjoy the dark skies of West-Central Minnesota during the star party. Be sure to bring your telescopes and equipment! The Buffalo River Site is also home to a computer-controlled, research-grade 16" telescope. In case of cloudy weather, we will open up the MSUM Planetarium in Moorhead

Saturday is the main part of the convention, with exciting speakers, door prizes, and much more. We are striving to schedule people from the upper Midwest region, to illustrate the astronomy, both amateur and professional, that can found here. Throughout the day, we will have solar observing opportunities and possible planetarium sessions. The day is capped off with a banquet. For those night owls, we will have another star party after the banquet, this time at the Concordia College Observatory, located at its campus in south Moorhead.

We look forward to seeing you in May!
